Corporate Professional Background: Tashie started her career as the Human Resources Staffing and Development Team Leader at Target in 2006. She later accepted a position in 2008 as a Manager/Senior Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens in Bloomington, Minnesota. After serval years at Walgreens, she accepted a position as an Insurance Verification Specialist at Prime Therapeutics located in Egan, Minnesota. Tashie’s successful track record in the Health Care/Pharmacy Benefit Management industry earned her a new position as a Sr. Health and Benefits Financial Analyst at Mercer-Managed Pharmacy Practice-Minneapolis, MN in 2012.  She is currently a Market Segment Service Issue Manager at Prime Therapeutic located in Bloomington, MN. Tashie received her Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College in 2016 and her Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication also from Mercy College in 2004. She is currently working on her Healthcare MBA at the University of St. Thomas-in Minneapolis, MN. She is a registered and Certified Pharmacy Technician with the state of Minnesota and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Her leadership experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry has giving her the tools she needs to continue to be successful in the Healthcare industry.

Business/Humanitarian Background: Tashie George is the CEO and Founder of Ifrimart.com. As of January 15, 2019, she was appointed the Program Director for the Liberian Business Association in the Diaspora. After moving to the United States from Liberia, she always looked for a way to give back to her country at some point in the future.  During the Ebola epidemic, she partnered with community churches and organizations in Minnesota to collect and quickly deliver medical and food supplies via Global Health Ministries to Liberia. The Ebola epidemic in Liberia, was the inspiration, drive and motivation she needed to start Ifrimart.com. Ifrimart.com provided a service that would not only assist families in the diaspora provide for their loved ones back home, but also provided jobs for in people in Liberia.  Throughout the past four years of owning ifrimart.com, she was encouraged to focus on her humanitarian goals. Tashie sponsors the yearly “Dinner and a Movie” fundraiser for Uniting Distant Stars and is a producing partner for the Annual Taste of Liberia Cultural Festival.  The Uniting Distant Stars “Dinner and a Movie” focuses on raising funds to equips Liberian youth with the knowledge and skills to realize their potential and become positive change makers.  The Annual Taste of Liberia Cultural Festival celebrates Liberia’s agriculture, food, culture, and tourism while raising awareness for Sickle Cell Anemia.  Tashie’s newest business venture is her Event Management and Content Marketing Consulting Firm; T George Productions and Services (TGPAS). Tashie has contributed and/or produce many successful events over the past serval years. She also managed over 20 social media accounts for small business.  Her Content Management approach has helped these businesses and organizations reach over a half million people in total. Because of her hard work and efforts, Tashie was nominated for the 2019 DDEA Humanities Award in Baltimore, Maryland.

Personal/Family Background: She currently resides in Plymouth, MN with her 12-year-old daughter.  She was born in Monrovia, Liberia and migrated to the United States at the age of 9. Tashie resided in White Plains, NY for most of her adolescence years and relocated permanently to Minnesota in 2006 and has been living in the twin cities area since.  She enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, traveling, creating music, yoga, roller skating, volunteering and meeting new people. A fun fact about Tashie is that she currently has the number 7 Goggle image of #fufuandpeppersoup!
